1. Reduces cholesterol naturally without drugs. The hesperidin and naringin also reduce LDL, LDL oxidation and increase HDL to improve the HDL/LDL ratio. And unlike statin drugs, which can be damaging to the liver, hesperidin and naringin significantly improve liver health. Studies also show that naringin genetically down-regulates adhesion molecules and may reduces the build up of plaque forming fatty deposits on the artery walls (see below).
2. Balances inflammation factors. Emerging research points to inflammation as a major risk factor in heart disease. Potent standardized herbal extracts balance the major inflammation factors. White willow bark, a natural alternative to aspirin, along with bromelain, garlic and vitamin E help maintain normal platelet aggregation (clumping). For rabbits on a high cholesterol diet for 8 weeks, fatty deposits (with macrophage cells stained red) shown in these artery cross sections are much reduced in the rabbit on a diet with Naringin compared with the rabbit on a diet without Naringin.2
In these views of the linings of the arteries, the red stained fatty streaks cover much less of the surface area in the rabbits on a high cholesterol diet for 8 weeks with Naringin than on the same diet without Naringin.2
